Fatal Traffic Accident at 7900 North Main

Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7900 North Main Street about 7:45 a.m. today (August 31).

The victim, identified as James Adams, 53, of Porter, Texas, was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A.C. Francois and Officer I. Jefferson reported:

Mr. Adams was operating a black Yamaha motorcycle and traveling north on North Main Street when a white Chevrolet Impala turned directly in front of his motorcycle.  The driver of the Impala, a 24-year-old male, was questioned and submitted to a mandatory blood test.

No charges have been filed at this time.  The investigation is continuing.
