Looscan Neighborhood Library Re-opening

The Houston Public Library Looscan Neighborhood Library will re-open to the public on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 after being closed for renovations. Looscan Neighborhood Library is located at 2510 Willowick, 77027, 832-393-1900. Library hours are: Mondays 11 a.m.-6 P.M., Tuesdays 12-8 p.m., Wednesdays 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursdays 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and Fridays 1-5 p.m.

Library renovations included the installation of an exterior canopy over both entrances.  The library lobby has a walk-off mat system that was installed to prevent slipping and catch any water during hard rains.  In addition, the lobby wall finishes were made moisture resistant and have a stone base.
